At the end of the breast reconstruction, e.g., after breast cancer, the nipple complex is reconstructed by professional pigmentation. This is done either after surgical restoration of a plastic nipple or by a 3-D pigmentation. A photorealistic nipple and a nipple areola are created in symmetry to the opposite side; scars fade into the background. This effect is also used for the aesthetic pigmentation of scars in skin color or areola color.

The pigmentation is carried out by Alexandra Braun, surgical assistant and certified pigmentation specialist, in cooperation with Dr. Susan Fenner.
